MICHAEL KRUPAT
Senior Vice President of Development for 7Beyond.

Michael Krupat serves as the Senior Vice President of Development for 7Beyond, a new joint venture between Australia’s top broadcaster, Seven Network, and Australia’s leading production company, Beyond Productions.

Prior to joining 7Beyond, Krupat was Senior Vice President of Development and Branded Content at Ryan Seacrest Productions (RSP). While at RSP, Krupat worked closely with the major US broadcast networks, selling two formats to NBC, producing a 2-hour special for ABC, and developing game shows for Fox and CBS. He also managed RSP’s partnership with Procter & Gamble, developing unscripted formats for brands such as Crest, Pantene, and Braun.

Earlier in his career, Krupat created Food Network’s hit cooking show Chopped. His executive producer credits include Chopped, OWN’s The Customer Is Always Right, and VH1’s Dad Camp. He has sold unscripted formats to 28 different networks in the US, including NBC, TBS, MTV, Lifetime, VH1, Syfy, OWN, TLC, History, Food Network, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. His shows have been seen in territories throughout the world, including Italy, Portugal, Australia, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

From 2009 to 2011, Krupat worked at NorthSouth Productions, where he ran the company’s west coast office and served as Senior Vice President of Development. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Development at City Lights Television. He started his career as a documentaries producer at Court TV (now truTV).

Krupat is an adjunct professor at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, his alma mater.
